Health Information Systems
The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act of 2009 calls for a National Health Information Network to establish standards and protocols for the secure exchange of electronic health information over the internet among diverse health information organizations. GDS provides information technology products and services to help support EHR and HIE systems development and integration. GDS’s mentor, MELE Associates, has been involved in the implementation of healthcare information systems for the Department of Defense, the Veteran’s Administration, and Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.
